PurKratom: Now GMP- Approved

On April 25, 2019, Miami Kratom vendor PurKratom passed its initial audit and attained GMP-Approved status. The auditor’s report read, “It is my recommendation that PurKratom is in compliance with the AKA cGMP program and has successfully passed their audit.” The auditor commended PurKratom for choosing an FDA-approved and accredited third-party co-packaging facility approved to manufacture dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, herbals, and botanicals. The auditor also commended PurKratom for its stringent anti-contamination procedures, hygienic practices, compliance training, and documentation.

With this approval, PurKratom customers can rest assured in the safety of the product–that from the production line to the time they purchase it, the product is free from contaminants. Below, you will find the process of our packing process by our registered GMP Facility.

What Is a AKA GMP Approved?

To assure customers that kratom products are both safe and of consistently high quality, the American Kratom Association (AKA) created its Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification program. Kratom vendors who receive this certification must follow the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) standards in their processing and manufacturing processes.

Stringent Audits, Inspections Provide Transparency and Customer Confidence

To earn an approved status, a vendor must pass a yearly independent third-party audit that checks its receiving, manufacturing, processing, testing, and packaging processes for its adherence to the AKA’s stringent standards. Audits check manufacturers and vendors through each step of the process. They inspect the facilities and equipment to make sure that they are in good condition, properly calibrated, sanitized. They observe employees to make sure that they are qualified for their jobs, properly dressed to avoid product contamination, properly trained, and use reproducible processes at every step.

GMP Approval—A Mark Kratom Consumers Can Trust

Manufacturers and vendors who earn this approval must label their products adequately, listing all the contents in each product. They must also inform their customers of any risks involved with each product’s use. With the transparency and consistent standards GMP-Approved manufacturers and vendors use throughout the process, customers know exactly what they are buying, receiving the identical quality in every batch. Therefore, the GMP Approval is the only way for kratom consumers to have the assurance that the product they buy is safe, pure, and manufactured in a consistent way with every batch.

To qualify, manufacturers must commit to following strict manufacturing and processing standards as outlined in this document , which will then need to be verified by a pre-approved, independent auditor.
